Well it is the end of the Year and…

This blog all started on October 11th, 2007, I thought to myself “why am i doing this?” then I realized, one, I love gaming and it’s community and two, because I have met so many friends along the way. This post is for these people. I wish them so much success in the future in whatever they want to do.

Alexis from Gamingbits.com

You were the one who saw me grow the most. You helped me on my writing and would feed me anything in gaming. You were so inviting with your site and the experience writing for you was amazing. I started with all my PS3 Demo reviews then you actually let me go on the front page. All the events we would cover were great and because of you, I wanted to start my own blog. I always loved gaming but you were the one who brought me into the nitty gritty of gaming. I appreciate everything you have done for me. So for that, Thank You.

BS Angel From HawtyMcBloggy.com

You guided me through anything and everything. Your love for the Xbox Community inspires me. You were there since the very beginning. You were my first friend I ever met in the Gaming blog community and your still at the top of my list. Every question I have ever asked you, you have always spoon fed or directed me to the solution. If you didn’t have the answer, you would still give me something to help me with my problem. The “Blog Banter” is a huge success I think and I can’t wait to write more with the blogging group (Who ever wants to join the Blog Banter go to HawtyMcBloggy.com
and you can contact her there). So again, Thank you for all your kind words and hospitality. Thanks

My Interview with Glitch Gear

I had the honor to sit down and chat with Glitch Gear’s (A Shirt Company For Gamers) President Quentin Clark and the Head of Advertising Jason Burga they let us know what Glitch is all about and their message that they try to bring across to fellow gamers. These guys were so cool and answered every question with no hesitation. So here is the interview with the people who make shirts for gamers, by gamers
PS: So tell us a little about yourself and your company?

GG: Well the company started in early 2007 , I was a gamer since I was able to pick up a controller,we first started this clothing company that was just about urban wear, but I felt that the gaming industry needed something to call its own. to focus on console gamers. After playing a few rounds of the 360, NBA 2k Quentin and Jason met on the battle field , they met through gaming.

PS: Tell us the story about how you came up with the name?

GG: We came up with the concept while we were watching G4TV and I think we were watching ninja warrior. There were 3 names that were floating around and we sat down and decided Glitch Gear because it just rolled off the tongue. I felt that I needed to find a logo that people can get in touch with, something that people are really familiar with. So I used the Power button to game consoles. I messed around with the Power symbol and it looked like a “G”. So from that point on I knew we had something going.

PS: How long have you guys been a company?

GG: May 1st 2007, But 4 Months before that we were contemplating about the name so…

PS: How do you come up with ideas for shirts? do you have any influences?

GG: I’m a hardcore survival horror freak, So hopefully we can find some Licenses to do some shirts for those kinds of Survival Horror games (Like Resident Evil, Silent Hill). This is how I feel, someone can come out with a Nintendo shirt and it will be sold for 4 years. we want to create seasonal clothing. right now its alot of trendy things out there. we want to give gamers different options of things to wear, you know, something thats cool. we want our gamers to choose, we want them to decide what our next shirt will be with colors and all. we also are thinking about collections, to fit the gaming life style. We want it to keep it at a reasonable price that is fair for gamers, keep the quality up while the prices stay down .These shirts are by Gamers for Gamers

PS:We have noticed that on the site is just t shirts, are you guys planning to expand your line with other apparel?

GG: Yes,but its all in licensing, We really want to do head ware, hoodies, jackets, denim and pants, but for now we will be sticking to t-shirts. other products will be coming soon.

PS: Are you getting any licenses for game t shirts?

GG: We want to! Lol we are speaking to a few publishers as we speak so we can get some awesome Video game title shirts .

PS: Do you guys have plans for the future, gamer graffics, controller covers, ect.?

GG:It was something we through out there, we are making stickers with our logos. we are planing a catalog so the gamers can vote on our next product. but we are defenatly trying to capture the attention of the gaming community and anyone that is willing to work with us whether you are a gamer or a developer.

PS: What are some of your favorite games out right now?

GG: Halo 3, NBA 2k8, Gears of War, Dead Rising Lost planet I’m a die hard Capcom fan, Manhunt 2 on the PSP and PS2, Im still waiting to get my hands on mario galaxy but have not gotten around to it, even Cooking MAMA LOL! Skate is fun too

PS: Are you looking foward to any games in the future?

GG: I want Rock Band!! With the Hardware and all, I have all these games for Xbox 360, But, No Xbox 360 yet lol. Metal Gear 4 and Devil May Cry 4,

PS: Well guys, It was great talking to you guys and we will for sure keep in touch, keep up the great work with your shirts of art!
