Mario Kart Wii came out today, April 27,2008, and I am speechless. The game is just full of colors, speed, and new characters. I am officially hooked on the game. Take this as a review about the game, it is amazing and I ive it a 10 out of 10. I feel like this game is the racing halo and it is more addictive than heroine. If you do not have it then go get it. At just $49.99 including a Wii Wheel (additional wheels would be at $9.99) Mario Kart for the Wii gets 2 thumbs and 2 toes up!
Wow…no one seen this coming (/end sarcism) haha. Ok, but seriously, there is already a review up for GTA IV on the XBOX 360 and PS3. Well, like the title says, it got a 10 out of 10. I haven’t really been a HUGE fan of the GTA series, but I will rent this game and give it a shot, if I like it, might buy it. Read the review here, and there is also a video review to check out.
Yup, the demo for “Operation Darkness” was released sometime yesterday. This game is a mix of RPG and RTS based in an alternate…variation of WW2. It still has the Nazis (German Army) and authentic WW2 weapons. To me…this is time consuming, even with the demo…but if you like RPGs, give this demo a shot, its only around 300 to 500 megs I believe. I rate it a 6.5-7/10, but thats just me, I’ll give it another try later. What are you waiting for, go download it!
Now thats just is not fair. Really think about it here. Who can beat, one, a Jedi Master and two, a really short green guy with a light saber. He is like the Invincible cheat in Golden Eye for the Nintendo 64. No Matter what the opponent does, you are not going to die.
The Game Director Katsutoshi Sasaki Says:
“The influences that Yoda will have in terms of gameplay because of his height, [is that] some of the upper attacks won’t hit him… However, we always try to make the gameplay fun, so we prepare positive demerits of choosing Yoda and also negative demerits on it. There’s always some give and take… I don’t know who will be best to use to defeat him, but what’s more interesting is you can use Asteroth to make it like David and Goliath. That’d be fun.”
For 800 Microsoft Points ($10) you can get this week’s release on the XBL Arcade which is Lost Cities.
About Lost Cities: “Risk it all on the expeditions of a lifetime in the award-winning card game Lost Cities as it comes to life on Xbox LIVE Arcade. Draw from a pool of cards to amass the most points, play your cards wisely, take chances with your money, and create the best strategy to outwit your opponent on the road to victory.”
Thats right, now on XBOX Live Marketplace, you can download and view the Announcement trailer and a gameplay trailer (Which in my opinion, is well made, and funny, just watch it and see). They are fairly small (around 70 megs for the gameplay footage atleast). They are well worth your time to download and view, so check em out!
It looks like Jack Thompson is getting a lucky break in his Florida Bar Trial. Originally, the verdict was supposed to come last week, but Judge Dava Tunis has requested extra time to finish her reports by August 31st. Her reasoning makes her seem as though she may have already made her decision, itself.
-the need to wade through a 2,500 page transcript of the trial
-reviewing 76 exhibits encompassing another 1,700 pages
-dealing with 400 “pleadings, e-mails, letters and missives (including pictorials)” filed by Thompson since the trial ended in December, 2007.
-handling a full-time job on the criminal bench
Hopefully, she will be able to get this anti-videogame violence activist out of the hair of gamers everywhere.
For those that do not know who Attorney Jack Thompson is, take a look at his Wikipedia entry.
Yup, GRID will be using an official eBay Motors type of auction “house” to sell ones rides. Why you may ask? Well, Codemasters wants to get to the enthusiast and this is an amazing way to do it. I’m curious to see how this will work out…so Codemasters…hook a fellow gamer up with a pre-release copy? Haha.
That’s right. Looking at the sales chart for the top 10 games in Japan last week, Mario-Kart Wii has taken the top spot with over 500 thousand already sold. The charts that you are about to see is for the week of April 7th to the 13th. I’m also sure that Mario-Kart will sell just aswell here in America as it did in Japan.

Appearently so…considering what is found in the art of the inserts for Okami is..well, the IGN Insiders Logo…Obviously the person they hired to make th ebox-art couldnt do it himself, so now, thanks to his…laziness you may say, EVERY copy of Okami has an IGN Insiders logo (Water-mark) on it.
