At times your internet connection may be working, but may not allow you to sign into the Playstation network. This problem may be caused by a leap year bug and affects a majority of fat PS3 models. The bug affects your date and time that has been set to a random past date. Hence, you are prevented from signing into Playstation Network to play any game. You may not be able to view your trophies. This is a hardware problem, so you cannot fix it on your own. Other products that have similar problems have rectified the errors and are functioning well. Hence, PS3 will also let you sign into the Play station network soon
