The Playstation 1 chipped to play PS1 games alone, you cannot use it on your Playstation 2 or Xbox 360. The purpose of using mod chips is to play backups of personally owned games. You can get a new mod chip for your Playstation 2 or Xbox 360, after consulting the Playstation Modchip advisor. You need to specify the console you have and its model number. If you have excellent soldering skills, you can install the mod chip easily. In some countries, using mod chips is illegal.
